AT&T update pop up

I rooted the my Samsung galaxy s2 phone (i7777, at&t version) using the instructions from galaxys2root dot com. Everything went fine. But the issue now is that at&t has a new update available and every time I unlock the phone or use it for more than an minute, this annoying window pops up and ask me to update. My question is can I un-root my phone then install at&t update and then root it back again?

You'll want to check with the folks in Galaxy S2 (AT&T) - All Things Root - Android Forums and see if they have a root exploit for the latest update. Many times you won't lose root if you update, but check to make sure. Make sure you let them know what version you have know and what you will be updating to.

What I have now is 2.3.6. Not sure what it is prompting me to update to. The message just says a new software update is available from At&T. Not sure what is the version they are pushing to my phone (galaxy s2 i777). The next update I guess is 2.3.7. It is hard to believe it is the ICS update.

A correction to my reply. In fact the version of android is 2.3.4. Sorry for the confusion.
