i'm running advanced task killer on a samsung vibrant, and also using batteryminder and lookout. should i exclude those two apps from task killing?

Task killers will are capable of shutting down any and all apps, including themselves. If you want a particular app/ function/ widget to be exempted from bring stopped, you should add them to whatever whitelist derivative the task killer has.
