Help Att $650 switcher program issues.

So I switched from Verizon to AT&T for various reasons including the $650 per line to switch and the BOGO deal for the phones...

So I switched on February 16, 2016 and I got my final verizon bill March 06, 2016. I submitted my verizon bill on the Att website (www.att.com/helpyouswitch)
Then I got a confirmation email saying my submission was recieved etc...

So a few days ago I tried to call to check the status, and they said they couldn't find any submission just yet to try back in a few days so I did and again I got the same answer. So now I tried calling 3 times today and I got different answers each time. And when I go to the website listed in my confirmation email to check the status it also shows no submission can be found etc....

So I'm very frustrated right now and im wondering has anyone else done this offer? Did you have issues like this? Because my verizon bill is due March 28th and as of now it appears att claims to never have recieved my submission even though I did it way back on March 06, 2016 and I have a confirmation e-mail..I have called several times already with no luck except literally a different answer every time!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
 
sorry bro... that sucks.

I did have a friend that switched from Tmobile. but I don't know how that went.
I did hear she got a huge bill of activation charges.. she was able to call and complain.
they waved the activation charges.
something for you to consider.

on your issue.. maybe easier to pay the Verison bill yourself.
then get the $650 per line to credited to your account.

hope you get it worked out.
 
I haven't tried chat, but yeah they keep telling me my line has to be active for 45 days first to be eligible which I understand but I don't get why it still doesn't show my status for my credit?? It says no submission can be found and iv called literally like 10 times!!!!!
 
Try touching customer support on Twitter. I had a similarly frustrating experience with AT&T (different issue, but wnet through 5 different reps before i found one with two brain cells). After tweeting that buying a new phone should not be frustrating, they reached out to me and it was resolved in 20 minutes.

The monkeys they have manning the phones are idiots.
 
For sure, like each rep I talked to told me something different one of the reps even transferred me to a totally different department that had no clue about any rebates all they did was online account help like forgotten passwords etc...
 
Yep ... that's AT&T.

UPDATE: So on April 1st (the 45th day) as stated in their stupid fine print it did finally show a status of my submission on the website. Prior to that though out of the 30 or 40 times I called and spoke to manager after manager none of them could tell me anything other than what there manual said... so I was highly frustrated especially since I switched to AT&T on February 16, my verizon bill came and I submitted it on March 06 but long behold at&t did not allow the submission process to even begin until I had there service for 45 days... so my bill was finally submitted to their 3rd party people to process... so today I get a text message stating my rebate was recieved and to please allow 8 weeks for processing.

Now this is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!!!! Because I switched on February 16, which started the clock for my verizon bill to be due... my verizon bill was due March 28th, at&t didn't even show my submission from March 06 until April 01, and now today April 02 they send me a text saying it was recieved and to allow 8 more weeks to process. So in the mean time that's basically 2 months my verizon bill will be past due so I will be calling them Monday to try and keep them from going to the credit bureau until I finally get my switcher money from their competition!!!!

AT&T sure knows how to treat new customers.... it would be nice if in their fine print they would have mentioned after switching I'd have to pay my old carrier off first or wait 3 months and risk them going after my credit because at&t will take 3 months to process your damn rebate!!!!!!
 
I think all companies are like this..

1. they want to make sure you are past their return / cancel date..
2. so once they pay the other company $$$.. you are stuck in theirs. no loop holes for you to get free $$$
3. rebates always take months. this I have learned many time.
4. not a ATT thing.. it is a smart thing for any company to do.

you always have to pay all your cost.. and then wait for money back.

it is .. what it is.
 
Well I understand that, and unfortunately agree with you. But it would have been nice to know this oh I don't know from the jump considering with these installment plans you could owe close to $1,000 per phone give or take $100-200.00

Let alone this whole buying out contract business hasn't been around as long as you made it seem to be fair. And this is my first time ever doing this rodeo let alone with at&t whom I have never had service with.
