att price match?

Has anyone had luck having the AT&T store price match others? I am looking at the 1 X and see other retailers are selling for less, but they want me to select one of their plans on checkout, and I don't want to deal with that. Can I go to an AT&T store and have them price match? It looks like they are still listing it for $200. Thanks

AT&T, from my experience, will only match other brick and morter retailers(best buy, target, walmart etc.) and their own website. They wont match internet only retailers like Amazon.

They won't price match unless its from their own website, unless you're lucky and they make an exception.

In my area they wont price match at all. Your better off getting it at walmart or radioshack. Sometimes its cheaper there.

I had the same dilemma (about not wanting to pick a new plan & keep my unlimited data plan) so I just called them up and told them that Radio Shack was offering it for $49 and if they could match it. They said there was no way they could do that but that they could sell it to me for $200 AND give me a $250 credit on my bill. SCORE!!!

The corporate stores are worthless imho and can't do anything like that, can't fix wrong stuff on your bill nor are they all that reliable in helping you troubleshoot any problems on your phone.
