ATT S5 & Recovering Deleted Video

Cajun

Lurker
I just found this forum, so apologies if this has been asked 30 times. I accidentally deleted videos on my phone (not SD card) and I desperately need to get them back. I've read both it can't be done, and only can be done by rooting. Tried that but unsuccessful. Then I read that ATT won't let you root their phone. H E L P !
What if anything can I do?

Model #: SAMSUNG-SM-G900A
Android Version: 5.1.1
Android Security Patch: 2016-18-01

Many Thanks

Hello and welcome to Android Forums Cajun :)

You are correct that AT&T do not allow rooting of the carrier minority variant of the Galaxy S5. However, there are some non rooted recovery methods listed in post #2 of Backup! Backup! Backup! NOW! that, "may", help.

your chances of getting it back, are somewhere between "Slim" and "none"

sorry, there are extreme measures that can be done, but most are in the Forensic Science arena and tend to get expen$ive.

Best to get an SD card, and set the camera to Default to extSDcard.
