Is there a way to turn off the 4G/LTE on the AT&T version? I can't find the option anywhere, and while I do have 4G in my area, it isn't the "real" LTE 4G, so I want to turn it off to conserve battery. I read somewhere though that AT&T doesn't allow you to turn of 4G and only use 3G, is that true?

There is currently no option to turn off LTE...
Actually, there is a way to turn it off. Go to the android market and pick up an app called phone info. Then go to http://www.droid-life.com/2012/07/10/how-to-turn-off-4g-on-verizons-galaxy-s3/ and follow the instructions.
