Audio cuts in and out

Lg v20 audio just quits all the time for all apps and sound setting including Facebook,Netflix,nfl mobile, keyboard press sound,ringtones,alarms etc. Did a factory reset and it was ok for a day then problem continued. What do I do?. Is this a software or mechanical issue? All apps are updated also

I would check your volume controls - there is more than just MAIN. And see if they are maybe all set to 0. I had an issue where google assistant would take over my volume controls and smurf them up. Usually when I was using some playback program (spotify, jet audio, netflix etc) and it would muck things up.

Also my 3 year old loves to get my phone and look at videos and play with the volume such as to play with the independent sliders.

my first guess(s)

failing that if it's the phones speaker - but plays over headphones I would point to a bad speaker. Vice versa is possible too.
