Audio Out Issue

Hello All,

I'm having a problem with the Audio Out (when it's in Car Dock Mode) where the music is playing fine thru the Audio Out (to my car system via Aux In) and then a phone call comes in, the music pauses and I can hear the phone conversation thru my car speakers.

So far, all is good.

But then when the call ends I hear the music kick back in for a split second (at the point where it paused) and then it goes silent. The only way I've found to fix it is to unplug the phone from the dock and then plug it back in and then the music plays fine. Somewhat annoying.... Also, I'm using the AT&T SII Car Dock which otherwise is fine (if a little tight fit for the S3).

Any ideas on what is wrong and/or how to fix it ?

Thanks for any help,

Peter.

If you plug the phone into the car stereo directly does it do the same?

Does your car stereo have any settings in it to tell it to autoplay?

Hi,

Well, the phone is actually plugged into the car aux port directly. The car usb charger plugs directly into the dock but you have to connect the aux cable everytime you dock the phone.

I've never seen any settings on the car (it's a 2007 Mini Cooper so not really all that hi-tech) that relate to the aux input - other than the option on the system that says take input from aux.

This all worked perfectly for 2+ years with my old Droid X.

Anyway, it really does seem to be related to the phone where the sound from the phone call is routed correctly (overriding the music) but when it tries to 'switch' back it gets confused...

Thanks,

Peter.

Update: I just ran a test with it connected via aux without being in the dock and the behavior is the same. So, that appears to rule out any affect the dock/docking would have.

Any ideas ?

Thanks
