Help Audio won't work in Micromax Canvas A1 with Android One except when loudspeaker is on

Hi! Our Micromax Canvas A1 with Android One that was bought on November 25 has a problem: During both incoming and outgoing calls, the audio isn’t working, but it works only when the loudspeaker feature is turned ON. That is,
1) During an outgoing call, there is no ringing sound or anything; but its there when the loudspeaker is turned on.
2) During an incoming call, whatever the person is saying on the other end isn’t audible at all..there’s just no sound. But its all audible when the loudspeaker is turned on. Again.

Basically saying, nothing is audible if the loudspeaker is turned OFF. I’ve tried my best in checking out if any settings are wrong, but nothing like that…
