authentication problem

My wife has a Lotus LT-TB7W/7B tablet, never used a tablet before. Despite our internet suppliers signal coming up as very good, she cannot use the tablet, as a message appears saying,(authentication problem). How do we correct this problem please.

The most common causes of this are incorrect password or she's trying to connect to a neighbor's signal. (Routers come with default names. All routers from a given manufacturer use the same default name. If you and a neighbor have routers made by the same company, and neither of you has changed your router's name [SSID], things can get confusing.)

Other common causes are using a security method that Android doesn't handle and a bad tablet.

Always "forget" the signal if that's one of the choices that comes up when you choose that signal, then scan and try again.
