Help Auto-correct suddenly not working

I don't know if it was the system update that was installed yesterday but auto correct isn't working anymore.

Neither is auto punctuation like turning isnt into isn't. Also i aren't being capitalized either.

Lastly, does anybody know why when restart the phone touch sounds gets activated when i had originally had them inactive?

Can someone please point me to the settings menus where I can fix this.
 
Auto-correct stopped working on my GS3 after the update too... Simple typographical errors such as typing "im fgoinh to the store" used to be automatically corrected to "I'm going to the store." While typing it offers a correct alternate to my word but doesn't automatically correct.

I've treid all the functions within 'Predticive text' settings and the spell correction is definitely activated.

Can someone help?
 
I just got the 4.1.1 update this morning, and now my Spell correction doesn't work. When I turn Spell correction on, it stops Auto-substitution from working too, and then neither of them work. It is best to turn off Spell correction since it doesn't work anyway, and then at least auto-substitution still works.
 
heard it was removed in JB due to apple lawsuit, not sure if thats 100% true but ive seen it as the reason on a few fourms
