Auto play option vanished

Since a few days, my auto play option has disappeared and auto play function too. I am using win 7 home edition.
Can someone help.

Click 'start' goto 'control panel' click 'hardware and sound' - you can change 'auto play' settings there, make sure everything's how you want it to be

Auto-play is bad when it comes to USB drives and the content that can be housed (read: viruses)

Anyways... I can't really help ya without seeing it. I'm sorry.
