Auto rotate screen in all four directions

Help,
I would like to have Android auto rotation include 180 or upside down (reverse portrait) so I can rotate my phone in any direction and have it be 'up.' It appears this option disappeared with Kitkat. There are many rotation apps on Play, but none of them offer auto rotation in all four directions as far as I can tell (tried several.)
There are many folks that need this option, and Google has removed it for some reason. Are there any other solutions out there (my phone cannot be rooted due to LG locked boot-loader.)
Thanks!

On phones that have it disabled you would have to decompile the framework-res.apk and enable it in the bools.xml file. This of course requires root. I can't think of a non-root method.

Thanks for your quick response GT.
That sucks, though! Why would google disable a useful option? Another reason to require manufacturers to be forced by law to allow unlocked boot-loaders and rooting (right to repair).

Still doing it in 2023.... Why should I have to know which end of my phone is which when I pick it up? It's not even consistent, we can have both landscapes, so why not both portraits?!
