Automated Task Manager / App Killer

ibelieve

Lurker
Without having to try out each of the products available, I was hoping someone might know which (if it exists) has the ability to automatically stop tasks based on certain parameters.

I get that it is best not to kill apps .. however, I would like to be able to have a list of apps that get terminated if I go off of a WIFI network for more than X amount of time (maybe 2 or 5 minutes, etc). I don't need certain apps updating and eating up my data plan while I am on a 12 hour drive and I would prefer that they hibernate until I get back to a WIFI connection. This would also allow me to stop apps as simple as Flashlight after X amount of time so that it is not forever accessing ads in the background just because I used it for a couple of seconds.

It would, of course, be necessary to be able to override this hibernation as needed.

Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

I'll look into them but I know ones that are supported by ads don't have any controls. Maybe I am just paranoid but my wife returned her Android phone for an iphone when she used almost 50% of her data plan in the 1st couple of days. I am trying to do a better job of managing my data usage before it gets to be a problem.
