Without having to try out each of the products available, I was hoping someone might know which (if it exists) has the ability to automatically stop tasks based on certain parameters.
I get that it is best not to kill apps .. however, I would like to be able to have a list of apps that get terminated if I go off of a WIFI network for more than X amount of time (maybe 2 or 5 minutes, etc). I don't need certain apps updating and eating up my data plan while I am on a 12 hour drive and I would prefer that they hibernate until I get back to a WIFI connection. This would also allow me to stop apps as simple as Flashlight after X amount of time so that it is not forever accessing ads in the background just because I used it for a couple of seconds.
It would, of course, be necessary to be able to override this hibernation as needed.
Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
