Automateit or Llama ?

I've been using Llama for a while but it often fails to trigger areas and/or events until I awaken the phone.According to the developers that's more than likely an android issue.
I'm not totally convinced.
Does anyone use Llama succesfully or has done in the past or maybe Automateit ?
I tried the free version of Automateit but it only allows 1 action. You need to go for the paid for version to be able to do muliple actions.
I'm ruling Tasker out as it's too complicated for my little brain to understand :)
I'm using 4.4.2 on a Moto Razr i.
Cheers

for different profiles - v cool :)

Dazg I've never had the issue you're having with Llama, I've been using it for years. I don't even remember seeing a setting that would make it behave that way.

I think the first thing I'd try would be double checking your event settings - maybe even posting what you have set up.

I've been using Llama for years for multiple tasks but I have not had the problem whereby Llama fails to trigger when the phone is sleeping. Is it possible that your phone is set to go into some kind of paralyzing sleep? Or could there be conflicting if-thens? For example, the Bluetooth radio is set to turn off when the phone sleeps, but you want the phone to launch a music player app when it senses Bluetooth headphones (which it can't sense because the Bluetooth radio is off when sleeping)?

It'll be the latest version as I did a factory reset and upgraded the os a few weeks ago.
I've tried that polling setting before but I'll give it another go.cheers

I don't think the app is being worked for a while ...which is a shame - never had any reply from the devs :(

There's actually a newer version on the dev's website. You might also try that.

My Llama was working pretty well, but I decided to do a factory reset on my phone & now have the play store version & something is wonky for me now, too. I have to update to the version on his site again & hopefully that will resolve my issue. If you're also on Lollipop, you might want to try that, too
