Help Automatic internet connection

Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum. I received a htc magic that had android 1.5. I upgraded it to android 2.1 and put my sim card in it.
Few days ago, I received the first bill ouch..... 185

You can turn 3G off or you can enable airplane mode, but enabling airplane mode will mean you wont receive phone calls.

Thanks for your answer. How can I turn off 3G ? I removed APN by replacing the adress by 'a' but I couldn't remove it totally I don't know how to do that.

Airplane mode is not suitable, I need to be able to call and receive calls.

Have you ever heard of apps that have the APN in the app and that are able to connect even if no APN is set up in the phone ?
