Automatically stop audio recording when silent

Hi,

Does anybody know if there is a way to automatically end a voice recording task when the audio input has stopped (ie there is silence) ... perhaps a time out after a number of seconds?

Thought it might have been a built-in functionality that I was missing. I guess not!
