Automatically turn wireless on when plugged in

My understanding is that keeping the Wifi on when no network is available drains the battery. So, I try not to leave it on unless I need to. I am looking for a way to turn the wireless on automatically when my phone is plugged in. Is there a way to do this?

I've got an Incredible with Froyo, and to my knowledge, these can't be rooted yet. So if there is a non-root solution, it'd be really helpful!

Tasker, Locale, Setting Profiles. No root needed for any of these.

I had that profile setting with Tasker when I used the trial, and I have it now with locale, so its possible.
