Aux headset jack making hissing noise when plugged in?

I have a S7 Edge, and when I plug in via aux plug in my car all I'm getting is static! No music no nothing, just loud static. Anybody else having this problem?

I'm having the same issue too. Specifically with my car stereo, my S7 makes a hissing noise when media is being played through auxiliary cable. I'm still able to hear the music.

My friend got the same phone. We tried his and his phone produces a much quieter hiss, and he can hear music.

I've tried my phone with the Harmon Kardon Onyx 2's AUX port and it didn't make the same hiss.

Any ideas? I'm going to try replacing cable today.

Switched my phone for another one today, and nothing has changed. Still getting loud static...Tried it in my wifes and cousins car and it works just fine. You have to go to sound settings and set the UHQ setting on when using AUX....Si I guess it's my radio....Do you have an old radio?

Yup, Same problem here. Turned the UHQ setting on and it helped but its still annoying as hell. Im gonna try it in a few cars with different cables and see what happens. Never had this problem with my S4. Guess it may take them awhile to iron out all of the wrinkles. I'll post my findings.

I can vouch for the one suggestion from Snakeyes.

When I have streamed music while plugged into an aux cable there is a hiss in the background. This only occurs when it is charging. Unplugging the charging cable eliminates it for me.

This happened with both my S5 and now with my S7 so I don't know if it is a Samsung thing or the fact that I am streaming the music. Hope this helps.

Sorry, this was happening without the charging cable being plugged in. This is with an aftermarket Sony Xplode in my truck that the problem occurs. I've since tried it in a 2014 Accord and an 2011 Oddessy both factory units with no problems at all even when charging. Gonna keep trying other cars and solutions before I go buying a new stereo.
