Average data traffic per month?

Hi, I'm courious about the average data traffic per month. Since it always pulls some data off the network, this must accumulate to something. Are there some figures out there, whats your experience?

well, my first bill (arrived yesterday!)with the G1 on it had me listed as using 102.8 megabytes from 11/23 to 12/22.

I'm probably a low-to average user. I don't really use the chat features, I only really keep gmail synchronized, I have twidroid pulling tweets every 30 minutes, and I don't surf much on the phone. Honestly, if I have a PC/Laptop available I prefer to use a full featured machine rather than a mobile device. I don't like all the resizing, scrolling, zooming in and out that you have to do on a mobile device. Don't get me wrong, I like having the internet in my pocket when I'm out and about, it's been helpful on many occasions, but I prefer to us a computer whenever possible.

Haven't gotten my bill yet, but the Sidekick bills use to include data usage too. It was a nice monthly meter to review, but didn't mean much with an unlimited plan.

Sidenote - in these tough economic times I was looking at dropping my plan from the $35 to the $25, is the only difference the 400 txt cap vs. unlimited?

(I have been slowly turning off many txt alert services I used to use, many are thanks to the G1's apps like Stocks and Sports news.)

It's available on the bill page on T-Mobile. I was surprised to find that I only used about 128MB. I thought I was a heavy user, but I actually get my podcasts mostly though my PC (roughly 600MB a month) and at home only use WiFi. Without Flash there's also not much to watch other than YouTube. I guess I won't be hitting 10GB any time soon. It would be nice if T-Mobile did in fact offer a 1GB plan for less.

You're correct, that's the only difference.

$35 = Unlimited sms/mms, unlimited data, unlimited T-Mo Hotspots
$25 = 400 sms/mms, unlimited data, unlimited T-Mo Hotspots

Most of my friends have stopped texting and those that still do are paying per text, and since I got Twidroid, and turned off the automatic weather/horoscope daily texts, my sms/mms usage has gone down to practically nothing.

Awesome...I will be saving the $120 a year...starting in the next billing cycle when I confirm that my txt will fall below 400.

Thanks for the confirmation.

thx for the answers. 100mb sounds ok but still more than the normal service provider has as a cheap offer here. but using wifi and and no data roaming should help :)

Are you in the US? Tmobile customers pay unlimited data in the US. Your quote above has me wondering.
