Back arrow and home key no longer work

So I left my phone in my car, and I was not able to retrieve it for 3 hours. Unfortunately, it was a decently hot morning, so when I got to it, it said it was in emergency cool down mode. Now, my back arrow key and home key will not work.

Any ideas?
 
I should mention that I do not even feel the key-touch vibrate when I press them. That leads me to believe this is not fixable, but I really wouldn't know.
 
I did that a few times with no luck. Then several hours later (without an additional reboot), it started working again right after I received a call when it had not worked 5 minutes before then. Odd--I guess either had to run its course or something got tripped when the call came in (first call I received since it started having problems).
