I just wanted to make a post and to see how many of use go back to some of the old post or threads and look at them and say wow as in... that was so wrong or why did i follow that advise or even like wow we came along way. Also for things that we thought we going to come out and made thread and they werent even close lol

Just thought i would throw all that out there
 
Yes, us Evo fans have come along way. Infact I don't great one post i followed or advice that was given to me. Everything used at this forum has been very useful. No one has ever steered me wrong. Great post though.
 
Back in the day, I had one of these and don't think there was a support forum for it.... LOL

I had one also, not only was there not a support forum there was no Internet as we know it today. I paid $1000.00 for mine in about 1980 or so.
 
see this is what i am talking about the good old days lol i love the old school phone someone should see if they could find one and buy it and try to get it activated lol run around and say hey got me a new phone check it out lol
 
I was so excited back in the day, and the phone, even with its flaws, is more than I expected. Coming from a touch diamond, I am overwhelmed by how much my phone can do.

I also would like to thank all of the forecasters, wrong or not, who kept us entertained during April and May.

My only problem is I have gotten lazy, and am not continuing to explore what's out there for the phone, and to use half of what I downloaded.

Right now, angry birds has my attention, along with poker and pandora, which I am listening to now on my phone, hooked up to a sound system.

Shout out to Bill, the mods, and all the other guys who have devoted seemingly every waking moment to figuring out battery life issues.:p
 
i remember when i had my LG DARE and did all my post @ MOBILE ROAR when phases and chiefsmackahoe would post all the time ;)
 
I remember back in the day when I could be sitting in someones front yard and call them and it would be long distance because I was 25-30 miles outside of my carrier city.

The first year I used cellular my monthly bill averaged $500.00.
 
i remember back in the day....

why cant they add a good camera..

why cant they do full gps...

why cant the different parts of the phone .. TALK to each other for better information and presentation and searches...

Bill was an active member of the EVO forums but there was basically a split between the board and some users left including Bill. He was a good and very helpful member of the community.

Kelmar: This thread initially was talking about looking back at the Evo forum, at least that was my interpretation. Then people took it as "looking back at old cell phones" I guess.

OH YEAH!! haha, I remember that time!! Gosh those were really the 'good ol' day'. I remmeber venturing in there a few times before I was a guide and it was just a wild wild west! lol. It kind of scared me away from the Evo forum. I tried to get my feet 'dirty' when I was a Guide and when the subforums were created...haha. I think the Evo has the most numbers of subforums! When other members in the other phone forums complain and try to riot about the subforums in their phone forum, I just tell them that if the Evo crew can use the subforums..SO CAN YOU! :D
