Backgorund calendar

I need a background calendar wich remind me my appointment without alarm, like the nokia 60 series and WM one... I have tried the "Background Calendar" market application but with it I cannot have a wallpaper, and the text go under the clock in home screen with a ugly effect.
There is something that will take the data directly form the calendar app inside the phone (and no from google calendar account) and write the 2 or 3 next appointment directly in the home screen on a wallpaper that I choose without conflict with the clock (and other widgets)?

Do we know if anyone is working on an app for this? I had this on my MDA and REALLY miss it. I'm not crazy about any of the calendar apps and it would be nice to have everything right there on the home page.

I would be willing to pay a developer!

I wanted to bump this thread because I too am looking for a clean app that will allow me to view my calendar entries for the day on my home screen w/o conflicting with other icons.

I had this on my windows mobile phone and really miss it!

Have you tried 'Android Agenda Widget' by 'Everybody All The Time'?

It's very customizable so you should be able to get it to look how you want.
