hey all,
i'm new to the forum and to Android and rooting. I have two questions.
#1. my phone has a tendency to crash 99% of the time when checking out embedded youtube links. I use Opera Mobile as my web browser, if that matters. i've had the phone ~3 weeks. i haven't tried to watch a ton of videos, but i've only made it all the way through one video so far.
most embedded vids seem to cause Opera to crash within 5 seconds. is this likely a phone problem? or something i can somehow fix? should i try to agitate for a new phone (it's within 30 days)?
#2. i'm interested in rooting my phone. i've been reading the subforums and am ready to try it. however, i want to make sure i can backup my phone to stock in case i need to take it back to t-mobile for some reason. do most of the rooting procedures provide a backup option? most of the threads tell you how to root your phone (and all the success stories that follow), but i see few references to backing up and how to return your phone to stock once rooted. i just want to get that base covered before going ahead.
