Help Backup and restore, need help!

I'm using an Xperia10i I got in HongKong. I got it with Android 2.1 and today I updated to Android 2.3.3 Build 3.0.1.G.0.75.
I used the Android 2.1 Backup & Restore app that came with the phone, and it created a .sbf on my SDcard.
After updating, I cannot find the BackupRes' app!!!

Which app is good to retrieve my msgs and contacts? I also saved the apps that I had installed in the backup file.

I understand .sbf are not to be messed about by non-experts.. Help?

Next time I suggest using an app like Titanium backup.

I have no clue how to use the backup and restore.

I did contact sync using gmail. And copy any data I wanted to save.

Anyone actually use the backup and restore feature in 2.1 trying to go to 2.3?

I found the App on the SE site, downloaded - no trouble. Install? It starts, but then give me a message "no installed"

At least I know where to get the app

Unfortunately the 2.3 version of the Android system available for the X10 does not currently support the previously used Backup/Restore application.
