Backup Application Question

I've read good things about both Helium backup and My Backup Pro. I would like to know if, when they backup your apps, they also backup and then restore the app settings - like account info, etc. They say they back up app data, but don't say much about settings specifically.

Thanks for the info.

Try Dropbox
It stores whatever you put in it, on a cloud server.
So....inadvertedly....it's a backup app.

App data should include settings. e.g. Bookmarks, log in info, high score/level progression, etc.

Being unrooted, here's how I do it:

Copy APK files made by AppMonster Pro, and everything else on my SD card to my PC.
Let the Google cloud reload everything else.
Some things, like local widget data, can be backed up, but I usually forget and have to start those over.

Takes a few hours to get it all back, but pretty easy.

Helium is the only app that let's non-root users back up data. That is the only backup app I use. MyBackup Pro is pretty useless in my opinion. Other apps that just save the apks aren't very useful for me either. Those don't save app data.

By default Helium doesn't backup the apk, but you can set it to.
