Help Backup Options

I had to wipe my phone on the weekend and had to load my apps one by one via the Google Play website and then place them in position manually.
Is there anyway to backup our S3s so that all our apps can be reloaded and placed into their previous positions like iTunes does with one click/sync using a previous backup file?

If you're rooted, titanium backup can but if you restore everything exactly, you'll be restoring the issue you had to wipe tgr phone to fix.

Even with Ti, much of the homescreen will need manual restoration
