I sync my contacts using google, backup my apps using Astro, and since I use LauncherPro, I use that to backup my homescreens, everything except the widgets. One thing I noticed using any app backup software, once you reinstall them, the updates dont show in the Market. AppBrain will show the updates though, and once they are updated, they will then show in the market for future updates.
