Barclays shuns Android Pay in favor of its own contactless payment service

Google is gearing up to launch Android Pay in the UK this year, but Barclays has chosen to join the contactless payment revolution by integrating contactless payments into the company's Android app rather than joining its competitors and working with Google. Barclay's mobile payment solution will allow its customers to make payments up to £30 with their Android devices with that number jumping up to £100 if the users enter their account PIN within the app.
