Basic location help

I have a presentation monday on GPS integration. professor said i could focus mainly on "location services" would it be possible to input two locations and find the distance and time it would take to travel from a to b without a geocoder or location manager? if so how? please help!!

I've never tried what you advocate from my phone with GPS. I suspect there are still mapping software out there without GPS integration but I haven't tried any from phone. MapQuest comes to mind... I used it for years on the PC. I have no idea if it has GPS features. Best of luck to you.
