Help Battery and JPY

I just upgraded to JPY from JPO and have noticed that my battery life seems worse. Would I be better off using JPU or JPY? Or even darkys custom rom?
 
Darkys JPY V7 is an amazing rom. Battery life is very good on my SGS maybe a third better or more. Factory reset and install you will not be dissapointed
