Battery at home vs. Battery abroad

I was wondering if anyone knows why my battery at home while on WIFI only makes it thru 3/4 of the day but when I leave my house, my battery life improves almost 100%? I dont get it. I thought while on WIFI, its supposed to be better but it just keep draining my battery...
 
just about all app updates, phone updates and more happens when on wifi. Because the phone is running to add those updates, it uses more battery power.
 
Stop all automatic updates and syncs to increase battery life, regardless where you are.

And if you are using your phone outside, the automatic brightness will draw much more battery to make the screen brighter. A 5.5in full HD screen can suck half the battery in no time when used outdoor with auto brightness on.
