Help Battery Charge

My brand new G2 Touch, updated with the latest T-Mobile ROM, will not charge up to 100%, seems to stick at about 92% (I have installed Battery Widget.) Does anyone know if this is a common problem, and whether it's likely to be down to the phone or the battery? If the battery, I might just shrug my shoulders and get a new one. Otherwise, the phone may have to go back. Battery life is a bit iffy anyway!
 
On the basis that 39 people have looked at this, and no one has responded, I'm guessing this is a one-off problem. So I rang T-Mobile today, and without any fuss, they're sending me a new battery.
