Android Question

Hi everyone.

I recently bought an off-brand (Emoto) Android phone. It was delivered just today, however I am already having problems with it.

Sometimes when I unplug the battery charger from the phone, it shuts down the phone straightaway, meaning that I have to do a full reboot and get back to what I was doing before, which can be quite annoying at times. It does not happen always, but quite often. Could anyone please tell me possible causes and possible solutions to them? I would be most grateful.

Also, I have one more question. The reason why I started to unplug the charger from the phone in the first place was that when I do stuff on the phone, the phone reacts very badly and sometimes strangely compared to when I interact with it when it is not on the charger. The difference is major. Is this something normal with Anroid phones/smart phones/whatever? (this is my first smart/touchscreen/whateverphone)

Looking forward to a reply!
Luk

I did not realize that if I will start thread as a guest, I will not be able to receive e-mail notifications in case of new posts under this thread, which I want to. So yeah, I'm the guest from above.

your problem is definitely is not normal, it could be a bad battery, a bad charger, or a faulty electrical outlet.
How does it behave when plugged into a standard usb port to charge (ie, when plugged into a PC).

thanks for joining our forums :)

No problem, I was happy to. :-) Never had an Android before, so I figured now is a good time to join. ^_^ ... A small update - the charger stopped working completely now. I already informed the company and a bad-english-speaking-someone named Tiffany replied with apologies and an assurance that they will send me a new charger by 1st class, and I should supposedly get it today or tomorrow. When I will get the charger, I will update you. Hopefully the problem was just with the charger itself.

Also, the "English" manual that came with the phone is totally horrible, unintelligible at some places, and hardly understandable at others. I wonder why Chinese companies selling smartphones cannot even afford a good English-speaker. :-) .. Not to mention that the description of the phone on eBay said that the phone itself has 8 GB of memory. It actually has something like 200 MB. And when I wrote to the company about it, "Tiffany" said she apologizes that her colleague "forgot" to "update" the description, and she thanked me for "kindly understanding".

EDIT: I have received the charger. The problem with bad reactions during the charging is gone, charger works fine so far. The only problem remaining is terribly slow speed of charging (something like 10%/hour).

Glad it worked out!

Some devices to charge at a rate that seems horribly slow. I think it is the chargers, but I am not sure. Sometimes the charging time improves with use. maybe yours will, too :)

Thanks for giving me hope, that's all I could ask for. ^_^
