Battery Charging Blocking Audible Notifications

I'm new to the both this forum and Android, so bear with me. My phone is an LG G3 with Marshmallow.

The problem is this: without any changes to any settings on my part, when I now unplug my phone from charging it comes up with a lock screen showing the percentage of charge and saying "swipe to unlock". The problem with this is that I now don't get any audible alerts until I "swipe" and get back to the home screen. This is a problem because I am missing reminders while the phone is charging.

This just started spontaneously within the last few days. Prior to this I would get alerts and notifications while the phone was charging, and there was no lock screen. I checked my app and system settings and I don't see what would cause this. I don't have a lock screen set at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Note: I did a forum search before posting this, and there was a similar posting back in 2015, but there were no responses.

Do you have Cleanmaster installed? Or any other app from Cheetah Mobile (CM Security/CM Speed Booster/CM Browser/Battery Doctor, etc)?

Btw, to take a screenshot, hold volume down and power for a second or two...

And to share it here, first upload to a image host (tinypic works good), then, while posting on here, tap the little picture icon up top next to the smiley face and paste the link to your screenshot in the dialog box that pops up...

After some Google searches, I've discovered that ES File Explorer has apparently been doing this also. I use it every day, though and have no such issues.

No problem... I'll do a bit more searching in the meantime to see if any other apps cause similar issues... Then I'll compare my list to yours and *hopefully* we figure it out... Good luck and have a safe trip...
