Root Battery Conditioning

I am posting this in the Root forum because it requires CWM to wipe battery stats and I figured that people that aren't even interested in rooting their phone probably don't have Odin to install a custom recovery.

I just conditioned my battery the correct way a couple of days ago after one of the devs in the Heinz 57 thread on rootzwiki posted it and I am getting great battery life on H57 on Gingerbread.

The key is to let the battery run out completely until the phone shuts itself off and then booting into recovery and wiping battery stats. After the battery stat wipe, power off the phone and plug it in until it is 100% charged. To maximize battery life repeat this process.

I did this a couple of days ago after flashing an new version of a ROM and I got less than a day of battery life. I am letting it run down all the way to repeat and it has been unplugged for 1 day 11 hours 29 minutes and I have 46% battery life left. I have bluetooth, gps, and wifi enabled and have been using my phone for calls, text, google maps, internet and some fantasy baseball and football apps.

I was pretty impressed with this and if repeating this creates even longer battery life I may have to only charge every 2 or 3 days.

After wiping the battery stats and plugging the phone in it displayed the battery icon that appears when it is off and plugged in as half full, so the phone thought the battery was dead and it still had half of its juice left!

Let me know if you try this or have already done it and what sort of battery life you are getting.
