I woke up one morning to find a message on my phone saying that battery conservation software had downloaded and installed successfully. Didn't say who/where it came from, and I did not request the download.
I cannot actually find the software in the task manager, but ever since that download, I've had several problems, not the least of which (but most ironically) is the battery being exhausted very quickly.
Furthermore, once initiated, the WiFi scan never stops, even after it finds one or more signals. This probably contributes to the battery-dying issue.
Further-even-more, the FoxFi hot spot app that I had been using quite successfully for months, suddenly does not work. I get a message saying that it cannot run because of either a task manager or battery conservation program running in the background.
My service is from StraightTalk. Their tech was unable to either understand or suggest a reasonable solution for my problems.
I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer.
