Help Battery drains fast after Jelly Bean update

I'm not sure why this is happening. I did a factory reset and do not have many apps. Any ideas? By the way, it's the ATT OTA upgrade. Thanks

Is WIFI, GPS, or anything on? Have you tried a simple reboot and see if that helps? Hopefully someone else can chime in on this. :)

I found the same thing since upgrading to JB from ICS. And even slightly moreso with the latest 4.1.2 version that Samsung installed when they replaced my dead motherboard.

TBH I think JB is just less efficient than ICS is. I've a Nexus 7 and a Galaxy Tab 10.1 (which is on ICS) and the tab's battery performance does seem a fair bit better than both other devices.

Hopefully in the next version of Android since Google sorted out lag in JB they'll sort out the battery issues now.

Not sure if its the root of the problem, but I've found that signing completely out of Google Talk helps promote longer battery life. Just a thought.

It's rediculous. I have 50% battery life left when I would usually have 70%. I have less accounts synching, less apps installed, and it still uses more battery than ICS. If I knew that were the case I would've gladly kept ICS.

I have the same problem of less battery life; this is the first OS upgrade that has done this.

I notice it as well. It would seem that JB is more resource demanding. Sleep mode is an issue as well. I used to lose 2% over night and now about 6%.

If I noticed performance improvements cool, but I see nothing better compared to ICS. It was just as fast and apparently better on battery life. I notice the same things wtih my Toshiba Excite 7.7 and TF300. No performance increase- just battery life decrease. All devices cleared and started fresh as always done with major updates.

I had the same problem after jellybean update on verizon. My maps were using 40% of my battery and would continue to run after a force stop. Somewhere i read that Google latitude was the reason. Went into google account and turned the location and latitude on then off and now my phone only drops to 75% after 14-15 hrs.
