Help Battery Flashing Red

Okay, a couple times I've noticed this, so I'll ask. Maybe it's something simple.

Occasionally, when I plug the phone in to charge, the battery flashes empty and red and doesn't appear to charge. I turn it off and charge it with the power off.

Any idea what the flashing red means?

Thanks.

This just happened to me today. I was using a cheap battery I got off ebay. I think it means the batter is no good because I put in the Samsung battery and it doesn't do it anymore.

Mine does it at random. If I power down and back up again it goes back to normal. I don't think it's a problem with the battery really. Sounds like it just gets confused.

I have had this problem with a couple of phones sometimes it has nothing to do with your battery. Sometimes due from use your charger which has they little prongs in it or whatever you want to call it and they can get bent or whatnot same goes for where you stick your charger in at your phone. I see that it comes and it goes so maybe sometimes it does connect when you lay it a certain way or something. Maybe try another charger and see if that helps.

I just had the same issue - flashing battery icon when I connect to the PC. I rebooted the phone and plugged in again (same cable) - now its working fine.

Thanks!
