Help Battery hog.

I've had my Note 4 about 10 months or so. I could normally go from 6am to 9pm and still have at 25% battery left. General use. With in the last month or so it has been a hog on battery. None of my setting have changed. I had Verizon look at it they said everything is ok. They were going to order My a new battery but there on backorder. Also one of my coworkers has the same phone and there's is now a battery hog also.

Hi,

I guess something updated recently and is causing the battery drain. I assume that the phone is running hotter than normal. First I would take a look at Power Saving (Settings -> System -> Power Saving) and see if one app is consuming all that battery. I would also install "CPU Spy Plus - Free" and take a look at how busy your CPU is. My phone has currently been booted for 132 Hours and has been in deep sleep for 61.5% of the time. If your phone is not (or rarely) in deep sleep then something is keeping it awake and that kills the battery.

If you can trace it to the one app you could delete it. If it is not an app then it is probably something Android related. There may be some mileage in a factory reset.

Good luck...

Regards,
Eric.
