Help battery is dead, and I cannot charge

Hello- my battery drained out, and now I canno charge it- before I had no problem. Plug in the charger and I get the red LED. Now nothing. Any tips?

Did you try factory reset - put paperclip into small hole n the side that is unlabeled (gently!) press hidden button...

by the way my tablet is a 9.7 size, what number do I use if I want to mod the tablet? as if it was a 10 inch?
