Help Battery issue or wont turn on

GlennT80

Lurker
I just received this phone from my brother who never had a problem with it. The battery life was a bit low upon receiving it. Currently I am guessing it is dead. I plugged the charger into it and the phone shuts itself off and there is a spiral symbol like a loading symbol that appears on the screen but doesn't tell me if the phone is charging or not. I try to turn it on and nothing at all happens. Even with it plugged in. What does that symbol mean and any ideas as to what I might have to do to get it work again? All I know is that the phone is an Android Samsung Galaxy S. That so called loading symbol blinks every 3 seconds roughly.

Thanks in advance,
Glenn

Hey Glen ...

Glad to have ya.. It seems you might be having a battery issue going on there. If the device has a removable battery _ I would suggest using a different battery. Also, before doing that, connect the charger and leave it charging for awhile.

Oh, before I forget... I went ahead and placed your thread inside its area of support where other users of this device might be able to easily view and give some assistance.

Best luck. :)

Thank you greatly for the welcome and reply. I left it charging today for a good 5 hrs but still not a thing. Just that same symbol blinking on the screen. Guess I need to have words with my brother lol. Then go to rogers and see what they have to say. But thanks again for the support.

No problem. ;)

Hopefully its just a replacement battery needed.

Once again, thanks for joining. Feel free to let us know if you need any other assistance.
