Hey guys and gals earlier today i tried to unlock my phone and it immediately died, i could actually see the imprint of the screen slowly fading after the backlight had cut off.
Tried to turn the phone back on to no avail (red blinker while trying to boot)
Plugged the phone into the charger and managed to get up to the G1 loading screen but would cut off before going any further.
Tried soft and hard reset and then went into the "rainbow mode" and did some button bashing in there which brought me to an error message, battery voltage too low.
I had noticed the performance of the phone had deteriorated(few months prior to major problem)
Im pretty sure it's a new battery that i need (durr!) but i don't have money to throw away.. i searched for batteries on ebay and amazon and well.. I can't make a choice!
I don't want an extended battery and whatever other reasonably priced battery's i saw had negative reviews saying battery life was worse than the original :/
Can someone confirm from what i've said that this is a battery problem and also pretty pretty please link me to a suitable battery on amazon?
