battery issues

my samsung galaxy s2 is saying charging paused battery temp toohigh or too low. I have taken the battery out and a few other things I still cant get it to charge. nothing has happened to the phone so I need some help, dont wanna replace the battery if I need a new phone
 
As much as I understand not wanting to buy something that might not be useful, buying a battery to test if that is your issue costs about $7 (OEM on amazon). You may want to consider buying a battery (or borrowing a battery, know anyone else with the same phone who would lend you the battery for a hour?). It may be your charging circuit(part of the phone) or the battery. Personally I would do the $7 test before buying a new phone. Or if you still have a warranty, go use it.
