Battery life app that does 1% increments? (Droid X)

Does such a thing exist? I've only come across ones that show the remaining battery life as 10% increments and was looking for something more accurate/exact. My Evo had this ability, but my Droid X doesnt.
There's a Battery Life widget from CurveFish that does 1% increments. It's not an app to launch; just a widget. I use it without any problems.

It is the phone's driver that only allows 10% increments. I have had this in many phones. In Windows Mobile I even changed the driver for a different one that allowed 1% increments, but I doubt it can be done in Android.

If the phone odes not support smaller than 10% increments no application will show them.

All of these battery widgets get their readings from some core source within the phone. Meaning, all they do is read the info that is already there.
So the only accurate reading you are ever going to get is in 10% increments because that's how the droid core reports it (because that's how motorola programmed it). And that's why the HTC phones report in 1% increments.

What does it matter? Worrying about whether the remaining battery is 18% or 13% is like a 30 handicap golfer being concerned over not knowing if they have 190 or 187 yards to the pin.

You apparently missed my point altogether. While a 30 handicap may think it changes his club selection, they could likely choose any one of 4 and end up with a similar result.

Very cool. Then fix it.
Sounds similar to how the Samsung Moment was modded to allow it to report in 5s instead of 10s because the detailed scale was inaccessible to widgets. That might be a good place to start your search. Good luck
PS, very convenient that today it suddenly stopped working... again, good luck figuring out how a widget that simply mirrors info has apparently managed to change your phone's battery coding.
Battery Left is estimating how much battery is left. It's not a true/actual reading. How accurate it really is, I don't know. Since the OS doesn't report the programs in 1% increments, there's no other way it could be doing it.
I guess you run the battery up and down a few times and it kind of figures out how much juice it takes and then extrapolates from there.
That is exactly how it works.
