Help Battery Life Concern/Question

Newbie
Hi there, this is my first post.

I have a question. Has anyone noticed that their battery holds the charge better when you dont give it a full charge to 100%?

When I fully charge to 100%, the second I unplug it immediately drops to 99% and after about 45 minutes of being idol it is down to about 95%.

Whereas if I dont give it a full charge (ie. unplug at 90% or 65% etc) that battery does hold the charge much much better and longer (ie. after about 45 minutes it still has the same charge left).

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Charge it to "100%". Unplug the charger and give it a minute. Plug the charger iin again and wait until the phone tells you that the battery is fully charged. Wait another 10 minutes, then disconnect the charger. See if it still drops to 95% with the screen off for 45 minutes. (The battery isn't really fully charged the second the phone indicates 100%. It's not the same effect or the same cause, but you know how food keeps cooking for a while after you take it out of the microwave? Something similar happens when charging LiIon batteries, except in reverse. You have to keep charging it a little after it's "fully charged".)

Yes I have already been charging past 100%.I always keep it longer.

But what would cause it to hold charge better when its unplugged prior to full?

Thanks again.
