Battery Life: H264 vs. Xvid decoding

Is there any difference in battery drain for decoding H264 and Xvid?

I'm just spitballing here, but I would imagine that H264 would have a better battery life, since in my experience, those are decoded by a dedicated CPU of sorts instead of the main CPU. Though I can't say that for sure, because no device I own is capable of decoding Xvid smoothly. The difference may be negligible since phones are so much more powerful now than they were 2 years ago.
