Help Battery life is horrendous

What's up with my battery life on my s5, it was fully charged up at 3am and when I unplugged it and put it on the side my battery was at 62% when the alarm went off 3 hours later, I didn't touch the phone, that's not normal surely?

what version of Android is on the phone, and what carrier is the phone using?

If it is Verizon, that is not an uncommon complaint.

Do a restart, that will help a lot of ills
Do a Full cycle charge to discharge, that will help.
Do a Clear Cache Partition

if none of that fixes it, do a Factory Reset and all should be okay.

I did the factory reset on my GS5, that really fixed it...although, you have to set everything back up, but I didn't mind that.

Glad your fix was simple, but what if you don't want to uninstall FB?

I need to add that I also cleared Google's Play Store cache and that also seemed to help. I re-installed Facebook and the battery life continues to be great.
