Battery life of a used phone.

I got a Galaxy Nexus from Swappa. It was an used phone.

But this phone consumes battery SUPER fast.

Is this because this is Galaxy Nexus, or is this because this is a used phone?

If this is because this is Galaxy Nexus, I will buy a new phone.

If this is because this is a used phone, is there anything I can do to fix it?

Just replace the battery and will this solve the problem?

Well you can disable a lot of things you don't use.
This would help battery life.
And maybe replace the battery with a good one.

If the prior owner was one of those people who just insist on running the battery flat with each charge, then it is damaged and won't hold a good charge.

Get rid of apps you don't need, if that don't help, get a new battery.

Ah Galaxy Nexus is what, 3 or 4 years old now? If it's still the original battery, I wouldn't be surprised. A battery can't hold full charge after 600 charge cycles. That's around 1 year and 8mo, if you charge frok 1 to 100 once a day. After that it just keeps on deteriorating
