With all this talk about the Moto 360 having poor battery life, we decided to put a number on that. Here's how well the smartwatch did in comparison to the LG G Watch in our battery life test.

My G Watch lasts two-three days on a charge. i think that's nice given the screen is always on!

If anyone expects a smartwatch to last ten years on a battery like some old Casio they're only foolin themselves. same as those who expect a Smartphone to last as long on a charge as an old flip phone....

I'm happy with charging every day. It just becomes anoth ritual when you go to bed, really not an issue.

However, i do expect that in a few years these types of batteries will be able to charge through constant motion as per current watch batteries.

I expected solar charge panels to be added to smartphones to extend battery runtime but was greatly let down.

Self winding watches had the nature of blowing mainsprings and overcharging batteries so doubtful they come to smart watches.

If the Moto 360 wasn't so gosh darned huge and had something other than leather for a band I'd buy it. But seeing notifications on a circular screen is too 1960s chintzy for me. Looks great for watch faces though.

I agree with you. :)

I'd be happy if my G Watch or its successor could make the kinetic energy of walking into some type of supplemental charging system, at least then the pedometer becomes more useful. i wouldn't expect it to replace plugging in, but imagine if our phones could go for two more days from the kinetic energy of our daily lives helping the battery out?
